Learning Environments:
The ideal learning environment to me is a classroom that can easily adjust to meet multiple student needs. For instance; The desks and chairs would all have padding for easy movement, and students may sit where they want, but will be moved if they cannot focus on their work. Student desks will be near the projector so they can see better, and the teacher desk would be in one of the corners. Desks will be in small groups of three or four to allow an opportunity for teamwork.
I think that classes should be around 35-40 minutes to allow adequate time for the teacher to instruct and for the students to at least start on their work. Personally, I wouldn't require homework unless absolutely necessary.
I would evaluate my students by taking participation grades, daily grades, and test grades. They would be allowed to redo any work for half the earned points back. I believe that everyone deserves a second chance.
